| This is my current bike for road use.
1985-In the spring of this year I purchased the bike from Dursley in Gloucestershire.Then in the summer (June) during a late night trip I ran over debris on the road leading to damage to both wheels which had to be replaced 1999-The exhaust pipes and expansion box were replaced for the first time. 2002-Spring-The coolant radiator developed a leak which was cured with a temporary repair. A replacement 2nd hand unit was purchased from a dealer in Hull. 2003-Spring-replacement radiator fitted and at first seemed OK but now loosing coolant very gradually, suspect leaking head gasket-another project for the winter. 2004-January-right hand cylinder head gasket replaced;water leak cured The bike has done nearly 38000 miles, current MOT until June 2005, taxed until April 2005. It has a fairly low mileage for a 21 year old bike and these days I usually do no more than 1500 to 2000 miles on it. |
